Kevin Smith is beloved by nerds, mostly for his involvement in Spider-Man, Batman, Daredevil, and Green Arrow. Bruce Willis is beloved by dads, mostly for, well, Die Hard. (That's not to minimize Willis's accomplishments as an actor, but Die Hard is far and away his most popular role.) You know who Willis is NOT beloved by? Kevin Smith.

These two were not fans of one another on the set of Cop Out, and Smith hasn't been quiet about it. Smith partially chocked it up to him being a fresh-faced director who was starstruck by the veteran Willis, and therefore wasn't able to establish an authoritative presence. That's about the most loving thing he's said of Willis, though. He described the whole experience as "soul-crushing", lamenting that he "got no f*cking help" from Willis throughout the shoot.

When shooting concluded, Willis wasn't at the wrap party. When giving his toast, Smith said, "I want to thank everyone who worked on the film, except for Bruce Willis, who is a f*cking dick." On the other hand, he had nothing but love for Tracy Morgan. "He’s a f*cking dream... Were it not for Tracy, I might’ve killed myself or someone else in the making of that movie."
