10 Actors Completely Cut Out Of Huge Movies

3. Paul Rudd - Bridesmaids

There aren't many actors in the movie business who are as universally beloved as Paul Rudd. For over 20 years, Rudd has been one of the biggest names in the comedy game and genuinely seems like a lovely human being.

It's hard to imagine any comedy not being made better by the inclusion of Paul Rudd, though Bridesmaids went in the opposite direction. The Anchorman actor filmed a scene in which he took Kristen Wiig's Annie on one of the worst dates imaginable where he berated and insulted the children at an ice rink before being knocked out by one of their dads.

Though it may seem insane to cut someone like Paul Rudd, there was actually some sound reasoning behind it from director Paul Feig. The scene itself initially served the purpose of showing again just how much Annie's love life was struggling, but it was ultimately decided that her relationship with Jon Hamm did this enough, and that to add another man into her life would have only muddied the waters.

With scenes having to be cut to trim the movie down to a reasonable two hours, though it must have painful, Paul Rudd simply had to go. As hilarious as the guy is, Bridemaids didn't actually need him.
