10 Actors Insulted By Movie Roles They Were Offered
1. Jordan Peele Says "F**k This" Over Emoji Movie
Jordan Peele may be one of Hollywood's hottest new directors with hits like Us and Get Out making waves in the award circuits, but he didn't start out that way. The man knows how to direct a picture, but his career began in front of the camera, and not behind it. He was a prominent comic actor for years before he left it all behind for the director's chair.
What made him quit acting to become a director when he was doing so well in front of the camera? It all came about thanks to a role he was offered that insulted him so much, he decided it was time to call it quits.
“The Emoji Movie actually helped me quit acting. I was offered the role of Poop. This is true. I would not make this up.”
The actor, who made his career telling jokes and acting in numerous sketch comedy roles was offered to play none other than poop. It's easy to see why he was insulted, and when his manager told him about the offer, he said, “That’s f**ked up.” Then, after a beat, “I’m going to sleep on it.”
That role eventually went to Sir Patrick Stewart, and when he heard that, he said, "F**k this," and quit acting altogether.
