Now, I know that Lou Taylor Pucci is a face we are all very familiar with. He's been in a bunch of movies, most recently 2013's Evil Dead remake as the total jerkhead who reads from the book. For those of us who aren't as big on Indie flicks, please watch Thumbsucker. Please. Then come back to this list and you will understand what I'm talking about. Thumbsucker is about a kid, played by Pucci, with common problems and an unidentified case of ADD. When he goes on the medication, we watch as he physically becomes involved in school, does his work, excels to the head of the debate team. And then we watch as he stops taking the meds and sinks back into his day to day misery. Lots of huge names in that movie - Vince Vaughn, Keanu Reeves, Tilda Swinton, and Vincent D'Onofrio, just to name a few. In fact, Pucci was probably the only unknown that was cast, as this was only his second film. Pucci is such a gifted actor it is hard to believe he hasn't transitioned from the independent world to Hollywood with more success. I think his appearance has a lot to do with it. He isn't a big, tough guy, but he also doesn't look old enough to be a thirty-something going through a midlife crisis. Maybe when he ages a bit, we'll see more of him.
