4. John Slattery - Howard Stark - Iron Man 2

This might seem slightly surprising, since Howard Stark made further appearances in Captain America: The First Avenger and again in the one-shot Agent Carter. But in those appearances he was played by Dominic Cooper, who is presumed to be continuing in the role for the Agent Carter series. So, really, John Slattery has been hung out to dry with no role to call his own. The official word is that they wanted a younger version of Howard Stark for those parts, but where does this leave Slattery as far as the MCU is concerned? It seems unlikely that they would switch back to him if they wanted a slightly older version once again, as the fans will simply expect to see Cooper again. Still, this could work in his favour as the majority of fans probably don't actively recall him playing Howard Stark at all, making it more likely that he could return to the MCU in another role.
