10 Actors That Were Totally Wasted In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
3. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Algrim/Kurse - Thor: The Dark World)
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje would be a near perfect Black Panther and you only have to view his performance in Lost as Mr. Eko to see why. Born to Nigerian parents and built like a genuine superhero, he's already in perfect shape to take on the esteemed role. Unfortunately, somebody decided to cast him as a Dark Elf in Thor: The Dark World, effectively preventing him from being in the running for that much bigger role later on. Fortunately he did spend the vast majority of Thor: The Dark World dressed in a manner which made him utterly unrecognisable and for the brief twenty seconds where he was seen without a mask he had white hair/eyebrows, plus a pair of coloured contact lenses. While John Slatterys talents were probably frittered away in a one-off appearance as Howard Stark and could have been used to be better effect, Akinnuoye-Agbaje shouldnt be wasted in his role again in the second Thor film he seriously needs to portray Black Panther. So whereas Idris Elba would have been a good Black Panther and Chiwetel Ejiofor is a perfectly fine choice, too, Akinnuoye-Agbaje could potentially transform the character's origins, essentially making as popular as Iron Man or Captain America. He quickly became a firm fan favourite on Lost, after all, and a Black Panther film could be the breakout role of a lifetime for this guy. If he hadn't been wasted on a silly Dark Elf role that could have been played by virtually anyone, that is.
