10 Actors That Will Star In Just About Anything

1. Nicolas Cage

Critically acclaimed Academy Award-winning Method actor turned action superstar Nicolas Cage was once one of the biggest and most popular stars in Hollywood, but in recent years has become better known for his terrible choice of roles, starring in a string of consistently awful genre movies that have people forgetting that with the right material he is without a doubt one of the finest actors of his generation. A well-documented string of legal and financial problems are surely the reason for his career going into free-fall, because there is no logical reason why an actor as naturally talented as Nicolas Cage would continue to appear in such terrible projects. The losing streak shows no signs of ending anytime soon, either; the actor appeared in four movies last year, with the best-reviewed of the lot currently sitting at 14% on RottenTomatoes. Cage hasn't headlined a genuine smash hit since National Treasure: Book Of Secrets in 2007, with the majority of his recent output not even deemed worthy of a theatrical release. It seems that these days you only get a great Nicolas Cage performance every few years; 2009's Bad Lieutenant and 2013's Joe reminded people what a powerful dramatic talent the actor can be, along with a memorable supporting role in Kick-Ass in 2010. Instead, he seems content to pick up an easy paycheck to star in a series of terrible action movies with one-word titles like Next, Trespass, Justice, Stolen, Rage and Outcast. With the right material he can be brilliant, but time is fast running out for Nicolas Cage to revive his flagging career before he slides into total obscurity. I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
