One of the greatest character actors of all time, Christopher Walken is just as interesting and eccentric in real life as many of the characters that he plays on the big screen. The former lion tamer, talented dancer and skilled chef has been working constantly ever since his screen debut way back in 1953, and now has over 120 film and television credits to his name. The actor has said in an interview that he has never turned down a role, which goes some way to explaining the uneven quality of his prolific filmography. Regularly starring in at least two movies a year, Walken has also said that a 200 film career isn't entirely out of the question but at the age of 71 he's going to have to take on a lot of work to get there, and will need to recapture the work ethic he displayed between 1998 and 2002 when he made a staggering 24 movies. The Academy Award-winner has appeared in numerous classic films and worked with almost every big-name director including Steven Spielberg, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Sidney Lumet and Clint Eastwood. However, when you appear onscreen as often as he does, you're bound to make more than a few stinkers as well. The actor has stated that with no children or hobbies, working is really the only thing that occupies his time, and justifies his decision to accept every offer that comes his way under the belief that the filmmaking process is a rewarding experience, regardless of the quality of the final product. Even though he doesn't own a phone or a computer, aspiring filmmakers take note; if you offer Christopher Walken a role in your movie, chances are that he'll say yes.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
