10 Actors Who Almost Starred In 2017's Biggest Movies

2. Angelina Jolie - Murder On The Orient Express

Murder on the Orient Express screeched onto our screens this year with Kenneth Branagh leading what must be one of the greatest ensemble casts of all time. Featuring the likes of Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Olivia Colman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Judy Dench, Daisy Ridley, and many more, the film - which was also directed by Branagh - could at one time have added another Hollywood legend to the mix.

Back during the early development stages of the film, actor turned director Angelina Jolie was also in talks to star in Murder on the Orient Express - a casting decision which would have boosted the already spectacular number of massive stars appearing in this movie to frankly insane levels.

For unspecified reasons, however, Jolie never got fully on board, and so the role of Caroline Hubbard - which Jolie was rumoured to play - eventually went to Michelle Pfeiffer (though it was reported Jolie would be replaced with Charlize Theron).

Would It Have Been Any Good?

Let's face it: It's not the most exciting role ever, and though it's easy to imagine Jolie playing the part of Caroline Hubbard, she probably deserves something a bit meatier. Pfeiffer did a good enough job of it, regardless.
