10 Actors Who Already Hate Upcoming Movies

2. Johnny Depp - Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore

Resenting a movie because you got passed over for another actor is one thing, but what about when you're fired from a film after already winning the job?

That's effectively what happened to Johnny Depp on the impending Fantastic Beasts threequel The Secrets of Dumbledore.

Despite playing villain Grindelwald in the first two films, Depp was "asked to resign" from the third movie after shooting just a single scene.

This was due to Depp losing a libel case relating to his long-standing domestic abuse accusations, causing him to be swiftly replaced by the great Mads Mikkelsen.

Though Depp was legally required to receive his full salary - estimated to be an eye-watering $10–$16 million - his dismissal from this film and its two planned sequels obviously cut off a massive cash-cow for the allegedly cash-strapped actor, including not only his base salary but residuals and merchandising payments.

Mikkelsen did hope to reach out to Depp and discuss the part, yet wasn't able to get in contact.

Regardless of Depp's tumultuous personal life, it's easy to appreciate that he's probably preferring to wash his hands of the franchise now that his part has been given to another.
