10 Actors Who Are About To Make A Huge Comeback
7. Kenneth Branagh - Dunkirk/Murder On The Orient Express
Though English national treasure Kenneth Branagh has recently shown a tendency to stay behind the camera, he's set to return this year as an actor in a couple of super high-profile roles, thus re-establishing himself as a capable leading man.
Branagh already appeared this year, playing himself, in comedy caper Mindhorn, released last month. It was a fun taster for what's to come in terms of Branagh's acting comeback, which will firstly see him in Christopher Nolan's World War II epic Dunkirk, where he's set to play a high-ranking member of the English Navy.
After that, Branagh will appear as the lead in another sure-fire box office hit, a new adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, which he also directed. Yes, Branagh is set to star as Hercule Poirot himself, the self-declared "world's greatest detective," in a movie that also features an incredible ensemble cast (Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Daisy Ridley... they're all here!).
Given that the studio are already considering putting a sequel into development, 2017 looks like it's set to mark the start of a new period for Branagh the actor.
