10 Actors Who Are About To Make A Huge Comeback
6. Elisabeth Shue - Battle Of The Sexes/Death Wish
Elisabeth Shue is best known, probably, for her role in Back to the Future Part II and its sequel, where she played Marty McFly's admittedly irksome girlfriend, Jennifer. She was also the female lead in Leaving Las Vegas, the film that won Nicolas Cage his Oscar, where she delivered a career-best performance as a prostitute.
In the wake of that phenomenal turn, though, Hollywood seemed to abandon the actress by the wayside. The only films she seemed to turn up in were critically lambasted, and even then she was always playing "broken mum" characters. Given her considerable talent, much of it still untapped, it was kind of painful to watch.
And yet 2017 is set to mark the return of Elisabeth Shue, who has managed to find her way into two very big movies. Firstly, we'll see her in Battle of the Sexes, the sort-of tennis biopic about the infamous match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, where she'll be playing opposite Steve Carrell as his on-screen wife.
After that, audiences will get to watch Shue in the upcoming remake of Michael Winner's Death Wish, starring alongside Bruce Willis. Yes, she's probably going to die pretty early on, but you can guarantee that she'll make every second count.
