10 Actors Who Are About To Make A Huge Comeback
5. Clive Owen - Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets
There was a time when it seemed like Clive Owen was in everything, but over the last five years the number of films he has appeared in has dwindled greatly, and then suddenly he was only doing TV roles and parts in films garnering scores like 7% on Rotten Tomatoes (Last Knights, we're looking at you).
It's good to see, then, that Owen is mounting something of a comeback in 2017, mostly in the form of what looks to be fun and hugely memorable turn in Luc Besson's upcoming adaptation of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (AKA the most insane/beautiful movie ever made - have you seen the trailer?!).
In the movie, Owen is set to play Commander ArĂ¼n Filitt, the guy in charge of the lead heroes, played by Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne. It's Owen's biggest and most high-profile role in an expensive film since 2006's Children of Men, and a chance for him to re-establish himself as an actor to be reckoned with.
No doubt his turn here will remind folk of this guy's considerable talents and help to put him on the up and up once again. Go Clive!
