10 Actors Who Are Actually Brilliant Musicians

6. Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is Hollywood A-list material these days. In his early career he was a keen fan of blues and rock'n'roll and blew a pretty mean harmonica. Having struggled to break into either the music or film business for years, the big turnaround came after his appearance in the role of David Addison, alongside Cybil Shepherd in the hugely successful TV show 'Moonlighting'.

His character in 'Moonlighting' was essentially pretty much the same kind of role he had made his own in the subsequent decades - wise-cracking, laid back and with an eye for danger. What 'Moonlighting' did for Willis' career was not only push him to the top of TV ratings, but also opened up opportunities for him to get to finally make a hit record.

His album, 'The Return Of Bruno', was a huge success on the back of his high profile and he also scored a big hit single with his cover of the oldie, 'Under The Boardwalk'.

Musically, his career went pretty much downhill from that point - though conversely his status as an actor rose to the point where he became one of the biggest action movie stars of his age. Still very active musically on the live scene, I'm guessing Willis isn't losing too much sleep wondering where his next hit record is coming from.
