10 Actors Who Began Their Career In A Soap Opera
2. Ben Hardy
The charming Ben Hardy had hearts fluttering all around the world last year, when he portrayed Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. You might also recognise him as Archangel from X-Men: Apocalypse.
If you're from England, however, you more than likely associate Hardy with his role on BBC's flagship soap. The 28-year-old rose to prominence for being the sixth actor to portray Peter Beale in EastEnders. If you are familiar with his work in the long-running series, then you'll know that it wasn't actually that long ago Hardy featured in the soap.
Hardy's iteration of Peter was at the centre of many of EastEnders' biggest narratives, most notably the Who Killed Lucy Beale? storyline, which culminated in a week's worth of live episodes - in which Hardy featured significantly - to celebrate the soap's 30th anniversary.
Considering he only departed from EastEnders four years ago, Hardy has already racked up an impressive amount of work in Hollywood and, with skills like his, we'll likely be seeing a lot more of him in the future.
