Charlize Theron is one of the best leading ladies in Hollywood right now. With incredible range, Theron has thrown her hand to all kinds of genres and roles and has wowed audiences with every one. More often than not, she is the leading star that a lot of the marketing will revolve around. She sells a movie. But many people do not remember how her career began.

Theron was once a glamour model, spotted for her amazing beauty and cast in big budget movies. But that was all she was; a pretty face. In films such as The Cider House Rules, Mighty Joe Young, The Devil's Advocate and The Italian Job, Theron was just the sexy starlet love interest. But this was all changed when Patty Jenkins made Monster.

After gaining 50 pounds and dirtying up her appearance, Theron played real-life killer Aileen Wuornos and delivered an incredibly disturbing performance. Suddenly, Theron wasn't just known for her looks but a genuine skill as a dramatic actress, winning an Oscar for her portrayal. After one movie, Theron was shot into A-list territory and was suddenly the leading lady across all genres including The Old Guard, Mad Max: Fury Road, Bombshell and Longshot.

If you have clicked on here, get ready to be bored. I'm just a 20 year old white male who has a (probably) unhealthy obsession with pop culture Film and TV. Handy in a trivia game but not much else. My parents were never murdered, I'm not avenging my dead wife. Just plain, old sat at a computer with a head full of knowledge I mostly don't use I was born and raised in the Black Country near Birmingham, England however am now living in Manchester, England after I moved here two years ago. I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
