It is a truth universally acknowledged that no one hates Michael Bay more than Megan Fox. I know you think you do, I promise that you don't. So it's a shame that the internet treats her like the boogeyman while only lightly ribbing on Bay as a whole. Especially since she was easily the best actor in the original Transformer movie.

Although she personally disagrees with that assertion, stating that she's embarrassed by that performance, she clearly has the most character to work with when you actually take a look at the script. It's just that the film is dead set on making sure that you never, ever notice what she's actually saying. Which is wrong on multiple levels, but we don't have the time to unpack all the reasons why.

When you actually sit down and focus on what Megan Fox is saying as Michaela and how she's saying it, you find a very nuanced and well written character, played by a fine actress, hamstrung by an ogling cinematographer and a director who has heard of the idea of respecting other people but hasn't fully internalized the concept yet.
