10 Actors Who Clearly Knew Their Movie Sucked

2. Michael Fassbender In Assassin's Creed

Like with Warcraft before it, despite an excellent cast and a very talented director (who had just before this made one of the best adaptations of Macbeth in the last few decades) this movie just fell flat on its face due to doing just too many things at once. Or at least, that's the autopsy given by leading man Michael Fassbender.

When he expressed his disapproval of the film after its release, he pretty much hit every problem with the film right on the head, particularly with its abysmal structural and pacing issues. However, we can safely say that he himself was not a problem with the film.

Obviously though, right? It's Michael Fassbender, the man is incapable of giving in a bad performance at this point, even if it is in a bomb like this. And his performance as the lead assassin was compelling in its world weariness and gravitas that it almost helped a film along even when it clearly took itself way more seriously than it should have.
