10 Actors Who Could Be The New James Bond

7. Riz Ahmed

Why He Might: Perhaps the single most exciting and interesting possibility for the new Bond is the extremely talented, recently Oscar-nominated Riz Ahmed.

He's stated his prior interest in reinterpreting iconic roles previously played by white actors, and beyond the obvious appeal diversity-wise, he would bring a fiery intensity to the part like we've never seen before.

Why He Might Not: By far the biggest disadvantage for Ahmed is his stature - at just 5' 8", he'd be by far the shortest of all the 007 actors, even if he'd absolutely nail the part of a scrappier, slighter James Bond.

Ahmed turns 39 later this year but doesn't really look it, so age probably isn't too much of a problem here, but worth considering all the same.

It's also possible that Broccoli would want to avoid casting someone who already has major prestige clout, over a lesser-established actor to whom Bond could be their defining role.
