10 Actors Who Could Be The New James Bond

2. Aidan Turner

Tom Hardy Legend
BBC

Why He Might: Tall, dark, and handsome, Poldark's Aidan Turner feels very much like the sort of 007 Ian Fleming himself would approve of, giving off the same quietly intense vibe that made Timothy Dalton such a breath of fresh air in the role.

Turner's 38 years of age so just about on the right side of 40, and would bring an undeniably different energy to the part from Daniel Craig, which audiences may be craving after 15 years with the same 007.

Turner's visibility also helps: he's well-known for Poldark but not enough that his fame would distract from his casting as Bond. He's a safe bet - neither too niche nor overly famous.

Why He Might Not: There's really not much at all working against Turner. He hasn't got much of a proven track record at the box office, but that never really hurt Daniel Craig, did it?
