10 Actors Who Could Play Black Panther In The Sequel
5. New: Aldis Hodge
Aldis Hodge is yet another performer whose profile is only getting bigger and bigger. After playing N.W.A.'s MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton, he had supporting roles in the Jack Reacher sequel, Hidden Figures, and Clemency. He also had significant roles in acclaimed TV series such as Leverage; the historical drama, Turn: Washington's Spies; the Antebellum Georgia-set series, Underground; and the Showtime crime drama, City on a Hill.
His most notable film role to date was in the Blumhouse Universal Monsters film, The Invisible Man, in which he played a San Francisco detective caught up in the titular Invisible Man's machinations. He's also got a couple of things in common with two of the actors previously mentioned.
First, alongside Kingsley Ben-Adir, Hodge is ALSO set to star in the sixties-set One Night in Miami, wherein he'll play literal football MVP, Jim Brown.
Second, just like Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, he's dipping his toes into the comic book world in the DC camp. He's been cast as Hawkman in the forthcoming Black Adam movie, which is sure to be exciting.
With the skill, intensity, and physicality he brings to his roles, he'd make one hell of a T'Challa.
