10 Actors Who Could Play Indiana Jones In Reboot

8. Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson is a bit of a wildcard choice on this list but hear us out. Neeson has recently made himself one of the best action stars in the past couple of years with his portrayal as the astute Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars Episode I, a franchise that Ford is all too familiar with, the devious Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins and the desperate father Bryan Mills in the Taken franchise. This guy is no stranger to action roles and iconic portrayals while easily falling into the category of an actor that doesn't do a bad movie. Liam Neeson would not be an ideal choice for a full-fledged re-boot but it would be entertaining as hell to see him sport the fedora for one movie. He would not be the George Lazenby of the Indiana Jones franchise but he would need a very specific story to cater to his acting abilities and age rather than trying to mirror that of Harrison Ford from prior films. Possible Storyline: With the 19-year gap between Last Crusade and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (1938-1957), there's a plethora of world events that occurred during this time span. We missed the entire Second World War, the rise of Communism and the start of the Cold War. Neeson is 61-years old now so throwing him into the Indy timeline would put his character somewhere in the 1950s. A fun story that Indy could slide right into could be the British sponsored expedition of 1954 in search of the Abominable Snowman, something right in line with an Indiana Jones adventure.
