10 Actors Who Could Play The Next James Bond
6. Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy has been a cage fighter, Venom, the Kray twins and he's even read a CBBC bedtime story. Is there anything this man can't do?
Well, maybe James Bond. Hardy's certainly got the acting credentials and isn't averse to morphing into the role. His breakout performance as Bronson in 2008 proved how far the actor is willing go. Hardy then brought that into the Hollywood mainstream when he was cast as the unforgettable villain Bane in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.
He's an actor who, over the years, has often shown great versatility in his performances. Equally equipped in getting down and dirty with such turns in Taboo, Mad Max: Fury Road or The Revenant, he doesn't mind getting his beard a little scruffy. But yet, he's also very capable of popping on a nice suit and showing off a bit of sophistication like his role as Eames in Inception.
He would certainly be a popular choice but, considering Hardy's reputation as being involved in the creative processes, he doesn't seem quite the natural fit for Bond.
