10 Actors Who Could Replace The Avengers

4. Hawkeye: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

At the rate things are going, Jeremy Renner may soon find himself suffering from an extreme case of franchise fatigue. Plans are still being discussed behind the scenes that may yet see Renner reprise his role as Aaron Cross, either starring alongside Matt Damon€™s Jason Bourne himself or helming a follow-up to The Bourne Legacy at a later date. In the meantime, he is back in Mission: Impossible 5, which is currently in production, and he will return as Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron next year. If it€™s all getting to be too much for him, perhaps Renner might want to consider stepping aside to let Nikolaj Coster-Waldau take his place. Coster-Waldau is best known for his twincestuous turn as Jaime Lannister in Game of Thrones, but he€™s also popped up in Mama, Oblivion and The Other Woman in the last couple of years. However, his best performance to date €“ on the big screen anyway €“ came in the excellent Headhunters, in which he played an ex-special forces soldier hunting down an art thief. Coster-Waldau should be affordable and Headhunters proves he can hunt with the best of them, so Hawkeye is well within his range. The only real problem is the actor€™s age €“ he is actually six months older than Renner, but otherwise you can guarantee he wouldn€™t let the team down.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
