Films of 2012: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Looper, The Five-Year Engagement, Your Sister's Sister One of the most underrated stars today, Emily Blunt was able to show her range in comedy and drama for the year of 2012. In "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" and "The Five-Year Engagement", she shows her charms in those romantic comedies that strive to be more than the conventional kinds involving Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. In "Looper", she stood toe to toe with Joseph Gordon-Levitt as an empowered woman and (most importantly) a mother. Her best performance was in "Your Sister's Sister," though, in which she was able to portray conflict in love and friendship especially with a semi-improvised film. As of right now, she has "Arthur Newman" being released in 2013.
