In 2013, most audiences couldn't pick Chris Pratt out of a lineup, even though he'd landed some solid roles in Moneyball and Her. One year later, however, Pratt was flashing his new, chiseled six-pack in the quirkiest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy. Then...boom, a Star(lord) was born.

Not only did Pratt earn rave reviews as the leader of the most surprising blockbuster of the year, but he officially cemented himself as someone who could carry an action movie squarely on his shoulders, a task that no one would've thought him capable of during those first few seasons of Parks and Recreation.

That same year, he also became the voice of The Lego Movie and secured a gig as the face of the revitalized Jurassic Park franchise. And he's far from finished.

Not only is he returning to the Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises, but he'll also star alongside Denzel Washington in the Magnificent Seven remake coming out later in 2016.
