10 Actors Who Felt Totally Out Of Place In Famous Movies

2. Cameron Diaz - Gangs of New York

Gangs of New York There's no denying that Leonardo DiCaprio has has emerged as one of the best and most beloved actors of his generation, and whilst there are dozens of great performances on show - especially from Daniel Day-Lewis - in Martin Scorsese's flawed by rather impressive Gangs of New York, he seems a little out of place. That's nothing compared to Cameron Diaz, though, who seems totally and bizarrely out of place every time she's on screen. Not only does Diaz mess up her accent time and time again, it's impossible for her to go toe to toe with anybody on an actor level, namely because (sorry Cameron) she simply isn't good enough. Whenever she turns up in Gangs of New York, it almost always comes as a relative shock, given how she never seemed like the kind of actress to be cast in a Scorsese movie anyway. Her only reason to exist appears to be to break you outta the movie - very, very out of place.
