10 Actors Who Gave Their Best Ever Performance In Bad Movies

10. Rami Malek - Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek won the Best Actor Oscar last year for his performance as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and while it's largely accepted to be his crowning acting achievement to date, the movie itself is...not good.

The most inexplicable Best Picture Oscar nominee in years, the film opted to take the most generic, by-the-numbers musical biopic approach possible, resulting in a deeply sanitised and soulless movie which offered nothing but a shallow - and often factually inaccurate - representation of Mercury's life and times.

Without Malek's solid performance - which, nevertheless, probably shouldn't have won the Oscar - it'd be far easier to discredit the entire film as a bizarrely forgettable if not offensive slice of pandering hogwash.

Compare it to last year's Elton John biopic Rocketman, which despite enjoying neither the same commercial or awards success, far more successfully captured the essence of its iconic subject.
