10 Actors Who Gave Their Worst Performance In Star Wars

On the back of becoming something of a household name due to her commanding and deeply moving turn as Brienne of Tarth on HBO's world-conquering Game of Thrones series, the casting of Gwendoline Christie as one of The Force Awakens' secondary antagonists seemed like an inspired piece of work from J.J. Abrams and co.

However, instead of gifting the unquestionably gifted actor the chance to flex her performance muscles as she had done on the small-screen, Christie often found herself frustratingly hand-cuffed by either a lack of screen-time or painfully uninspired dialogue whenever she was afforded the chance to steal the spotlight.

What could have been a performance that utterly shook up the system, introducing a three-dimensional female big-screen baddie for the first time in the franchise's history, eventually wound up feeling like little more than a huge missed opportunity for all involved.

But with Christie herself seemingly being open to returning to the role that has been expanded and explored far more on the page than it was on screen, there may be hope in finally delivering on the promise of a character that fans clearly had an appetite for before her untimely end in The Last Jedi.
