10 Actors Who HATED Their Roles In Famous Movies

5. Mark Wahlberg - The Happening

The Amazing Spider-Man Andrew Garfield
20th Century Fox

Mark Wahlberg hasn't been shy with criticisms of his past work. He even asked God for forgiveness for Boogie Nights, despite the film being highly regarded.

However, it was M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening that he was the most critical about, saying how it was a bad movie and how his The Fighter co-star Amy Adams dodged a bullet by not doing it.

The Happening came after Shyamalan's success with The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, and became part of poor run of films from the director, from which he recovered from with the excellent Split.

In contrast, Wahlberg has become one the world's most successful movie stars, showing that a regretful choice here and there can still be recovered from.
