Many of us find it difficult to watch or listen to a recording of ourselves, so imagine having to do that for a 3 hour movie on the big screen. For Kate Winslet in Titanic, this was a stuggle.

While she didn't hate the movie itself, Winslet had plenty of problems with her own performance as Rose, making it a hard watch for her. She was so self-critical that she wished she could have another go at playing the character. She picked out her American accent as particularly poor, saying "hopefully it's so much better now".

Despite her own self-criticisms, Winslet's performance in Titanic did wonders for her career. Since Titanic, she has appeared in a highly impressive 39 films.
