10 Actors Who Hated Working On Star Wars
5. Harrison Ford (Han Solo)
It's become painfully clear over the years that as much as Harrison Ford has always loved playing George Lucas' other creation, Indiana Jones, he doesn't so much care for Han Solo.
Ford allegedly said of Lucas' script for A New Hope, "You can type this s**t, George, but you sure as hell can’t say it," causing Ford to become reluctant about signing up for the two sequels.
Ford even lobbied Lucas to kill off Han in Return of the Jedi, but alas, he couldn't be swayed. In an interview ahead of Return's release, the actor bluntly said, "Three is enough for me. I was glad to see that costume for the last time."
Ford generally shied away from talking about Star Wars for much of the next 30 years, until he finally returned to the franchise in The Force Awakens.
Given that Han died in the movie, it's a safe bet that he only agreed to star on the condition he wouldn't ever need to return.
An estimated $15 million salary for a relatively small supporting role probably didn't hurt, either.
That didn't stop Ford popping back for a cash-in cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, though. Ford may not have much love for Han, but like anyone else, who is he to turn down an easy, fat payday?
