10 Actors Who Just Quit HUGE Movies
8. Rachel Zegler - Paddington In Peru
The third Paddington film began shooting this past summer, and due to production company StudioCanal not being a member of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), filming could continue in spite of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
While this left most of the movie's predominantly British cast unaffected, it created an issue for American actress Rachel Zegler, who had been cast as Gina Cabot, the daughter of a riverboat captain, Hunter Cabot (Antonio Banderas), who helps the Brown family during their journey to Peru.
Filming began while Zegler returned to the United States to take part in the SAG-AFTRA picketing, resulting in her being replaced with the decidedly lesser-known Spanish actress Carla Tous.
While this part would've allowed Zegler to star in a family-friendly film, it's certainly a major win for Tous, who will enjoy a major rise in profile here. Best of luck to her.
