10 Actors Who Made A Terrible Movie Right After Winning An Oscar

4. Jamie Foxx - Stealth (2005)

Won An Oscar For: Ray (2004) People tend to forget that Jamie Foxx has an Oscar under his belt. He won it for his turn as musical legend Ray Charles in biopic, Ray, back in 2005, beating out seasoned actors such as Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio and the legend that is Clint Eastwood for the win. Coming off the back of such a highly-regarded performance, then, you'd have expected Jamie Foxx to land a role in another prestigious picture of sorts. Nope: he made Stealth, which just so happens to be one of the worst blockbusters ever. Relentlessly awful in every way, the naff fighter pilots vs. alien plotline resulted in a true cinematic travesty - a film that struggles to explain what was happening or why, amidst endless terrible SFX. Stealth also managed to become one of the biggest box office bombs in history, estimated to have lost $116 million - which is a lot. It wasn't until 2012 that Foxx managed to land his next substantial role in Django Unchained (which won him the "MTV Movie Award for Best WTF Moment," no less).
