10 Actors Who Made A Terrible Movie Right After Winning An Oscar

3. Halle Berry - Die Another Day (2002)

Won An Oscar For: Monster's Ball (2001) Halle Berry became the first African American woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Monster's Ball, although the win is more than just politics. Berry played a struggling mother in the film, and managed to layer her performance to make it both real and sexy. In the wake of her win, it felt as though a magnificent body of work was set to follow. And then... disaster stuck. Die Another Die marked the initial stage in the death of Halle Berry's career; as one of the worst Bond movies ever produced, even former 007 Roger Moore said: "I thought it just went too far - and that€™s from me, the first Bond in space!" It's no wonder they decided to reboot the franchise afterwards in the style of a Jason Bourne flick. As Bond girl Jinx, an NSA agent, Berry was an attractive addition, but was totally underwhelming in her role. It proved to be an ill-judged career movie, but not as ill-judged as the one that saw the actress agreeing to star in Gothika and Catwoman afterwards.
