It's fair to say that the fan disdain for the Star Wars prequels torpedoed the career of star Hayden Christensen, no matter that he was doing his best with George Lucas' poor writing and direction.

Plus, as evidenced by his performance in 2003's Shattered Glass, he's actually a pretty solid actor when the material is right.

In the near-15 years since Revenge of the Sith hit cinemas, however, Christensen has appeared in barely a dozen movies, with his last theatrically-released project being 2010's crime caper Takers.

Christensen is well and truly in the straight-to-VOD dungeon nowadays, yet for the first time in several years, he doesn't have any upcoming projects in any stage of production.

The actor's last film, low-budget sci-fi actioner The Last Man, was released back in January, and given that he's not shooting anything at present, there's no chance of him appearing in another movie until at least mid-2020.

Granted, Christensen's net worth is said to be anywhere from $12 million to $17 million, so it's not like he needs to keep working. Without anything on the docket, he could very well be sliding into early retirement.
