4. Matthew Fox

Less than a decade ago, Matthew Fox was everywhere, having spent six seasons as the lead actor on the TV show phenomenon Lost (to say nothing of his prior work on hit series Party of Five), after which he seemed destined to enjoy a fruitful movie career.

Yet in the nine years since Lost ended, Fox has appeared in just five movies, the last of which was 2015's Bone Tomahawk.

A number of personal setbacks haven't helped Fox, including a 2011 assault accusation and 2012 DUI charge, not to mention moving all the way to rural Oregon after completing production on Lost.

And by Fox's own admission, he's not much of a fan of acting, even professing to hate it at times.

But thanks to his lucrative Lost payday, the actor is worth around $20 million, and freely admits he never needs to take a paycheck role ever again. He added, "I could just stay in [Oregon] and fly my plane."

Short of a very unique opportunity coming along, it seems like Fox is happy to live his best life away from Hollywood. Of his future, the actor added, "There’s a possibility I’ll give up acting and do something altogether different." Time will tell.
