Lars von Trier has a reputation for being demanding. In fact, demanding is a little far; even actors who admire him, or even work with him repeatedly, don't necessarily like working with him all that much. In fact, frequent collaborator Stellan Skarsgard once blatantly lied to Paul Bettany to convince him to do Dogville, just to make the shoot bearable.

Bjork, meanwhile, has a reputation for being quirky. Whether she's afraid of televisions, assaulting paparazzi, or staging a karaeoke marathon in protest, the one thing you can count on Bjork to do is the last thing you'd expect.

While shooting her first (and only) movie, the musical Dancing in the Dark, an unstoppable force met an immovable object. Bjork hated the strict working conditions, and greeted von Trier every morning by saying "Mr. von Trier, I despise you," then spitting at him. Allegedly, she was asked to wear a sweater she didn't like for a scene and she responded by locking herself in her trailer and eating it.

When your lead actress resorts to eating her wardrobe, you know that you've met your match.

To make matters worse, Bjork entered to #metoo fray, accusing a famous Danish director of sexually harassing her. Sure, she didn't mention names, but she did accuse him of fabricating a story about her eating a shirt, so there's that.
