10 Actors Who Play Multiple Roles In The MCU
4. Enver Gjokaj
Fans of Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD might notice a familiar face in 2012's The Avengers (other than, of course, the entire cast of A-list actors playing iconic superheroes.) During the Battle of New York, a particular police officer takes charge, and even has a few scenes with Captain America. This police officer is played by none other than Enver Gjokaj.
Though Avengers was Gjokaj's MCU debut, he would return to the franchise in 2015 to play Daniel Sousa in Agent Carter. Sousa appears in both seasons of the show, and has such great chemistry with Peggy that many fans speculated that he was her husband to whom she alluded in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
After Agent Carter was cancelled, fans assumed they'd seen the last of Sousa. Fortunately, the fan favourite returns for the time travel focused final season of Agents of SHIELD. The team meets Sousa in the 1950s, when he is supposed to die. However, they spare his life and take him on their mission, where he falls in love with Daisy. The two end the series exploring space together.
Though Gjokaj's double casting is a coincidence, many SHIELD fans theorised that the police officer in Avengers was simply a time displaced Sousa. While his actual ending is satisfying, it would have been fun to see Marvel go this route as well.
