10 Actors Who Played Multiple Marvel Roles

1. Chris Evans

First: Cocky firestarter Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

But Then: Earnest all-American super soldier Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Age Of Ultron

How Did It Work Out?

With The Losers (based on the DC Vertigo comic), TMNT (based on the Mirage Studios comic), Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (based on the Oni Press comic), and Snowpiercer (based on the Casterman comic), Evans basically owes his whole career to comic book adaptations.

It's Marvel, however, that have given him by far the two biggest roles that he has yet played.

In Tim Story's bland Fantastic Four flicks Evans' Johnny Storm stood out as one of the few roles with a bit of personality and energy, but it is the superficially duller Captain America that Evans will likely be forever associated with.

The boy scout-ish do-gooder may not have the instant appeal of Iron Man, Thor, or even Evans' Human Torch, but unlike the latter Cap's old fashioned notion of heroism has allowed him to feature in a succession of Marvel's more interesting movies - from the wartime derring-do of The First Avenger to the 70s style conspiracy thriller The Winter Soldier.

And that's before we even get to a Civil War.
