Arnold Schwarzenegger has starred in some stinkers during his time, and even he isn't afraid to admit it. But while he could have singled out for criticism any of End Of Days, Batman & Robin, Around The World In 80 Days, Escape Plan, Terminator 3 and quite probably Terminator Genisys as well, he reserved his judgement for one film in particular. That would be Red Sonja, Richard Fleischer's ill-advised fantasy actioner, starring Ahnuld as the sword-wielding Lord Kalidor, and which both tanked at the box office and received scathing reviews from critics. One of these critics was Schwarzenegger himself, who once admitted he used Red Sonja as a form of punishment when his kids got out of line. "It's the worst film I have ever made," said the former Governator, who claimed he'd "never had too much trouble" with his children because they knew they'd otherwise be sent to their rooms to "watch Red Sonja ten times". The monster.
Lover of film, writer of words, pretentious beyond belief. Thinks Scorsese and Kubrick are the kings of cinema, but PT Anderson and David Fincher are the dashing young princes. Follow Brogan on twitter if you can take shameless self-promotion: @BroganMorris1
