8. Dougray Scott (X-Men)
The X-Men movies made Hugh Jackman as household name and his take on Wolverine remains the best thing about them, so it may come as a surprise to hear that he wasn't the studio's first choice for Logan.
Dougray Scott was originally cast as the Adamantium-enhanced anti-hero, but he was unable to carry out his X-duties since the filming schedule clashed with his commitments to Mission: Impossible 2.
He chose the action-spy sequel over X-Men and Fox snapped up Jackman as his replacement. Although Scott looks the part, there's no way he, or anyone else, would have nailed the role like Jackman.
Even when stitched up with a poor script in an unnecessary prequel, the Australian actor poured his heart and soul into Wolverine and the vast majority of the fanbase would agree that he was perfect for the part.
The minority who disagree clearly haven't seen the masterpiece that is Logan yet.
