10 Actors Who Really Don't Belong In Upcoming Movies
6. The Secret Life Of Pets - Louis C.K.
Does Louis C.K. need the cash? He must do, because why else would he have taken the lead voice acting role in The Secret Life of Pets, a motion picture that - going by its trailer - appears to have been designed as a unoriginal means of blending "fuzzy animals" and "Toy Story" into a single whole? Louis C.K. doesn't seem like the kind of guy who you'd expect to agree to something like this based on his principals: he has a deep respect for comedy, and a voice role in a movie that a) he didn't write and b) wasn't made by Pixar seems like a rather bizarre career move. It would be unfair to say that The Secret Life of Pets is definitely going to be a terrible film, of course, but going on the fact that there isn't a single laugh in the trailer... well, it's likely. In the movie, he plays Max, a terrier, which is suitable enough, we guess, but is it? The three screenwriters behind The Secret Life of Pets have produced work graded from great to awesome, after all - that's to say, Despicable Me to The Lorax - which means that this could go either way. You wonder why C.K. felt he needed to be a part of it, though.
