10 Actors Who Really Don't Belong In Upcoming Movies

2. Ewan McGregor - Beauty And The Beast

When Walt Disney Pictures announced that they were remaking Beauty and the Beast as a live-action film with an upcoming release date of 2017, the world at large took a deep breath and uttered in unison: "Oh, really? That's surprising. Feel free to tell us more about that." "It's to be a musical," they said. "Emma Watson will play Belle," they said. "Dan Stevens, who you don't really know, will play the Beast," they said. "But give us the benefit of the doubt on him, because look - there's also Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson in the role of Mrs. Potts!" Everyone agreed that all this was utterly amazing, of course. "And let us not forget," said Disney. "Ewan McGregor in the role of Lumiere!" Silence. "How about that, huh? Ewan McGregor! The guy from Trainspotting; Obi Wan bloody Kenobi!" Uh, well... Ewan McGregor playing the charismatic French candlestick is just about the most random casting decision ever. Whilst McKellen and Thompson are outright perfect, McGregor seems cast as a result of a random lottery. Do they think he's somebody else? Does this make any sense at all? Surely Jean Dujardin was the natural choice, guys?
