10 Actors Who Refused To Be On Set Together
5. Alec Baldwin And Shia LaBeouf - Orphans
In a slight detour away from the world of cinema, our next entry involves two Hollywood stars who were expected to share the stage in a play called Orphans on Broadway in 2013.
Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf had originally been brought in to play Harold and Treat, respectively, alongside Tom Surridge's Phillip.
LaBeouf, by his own admittance, had gotten quite deep into character and learnt all of his lines before rehearsals had even begun. He claims his goal was to 'intimidate the f*ck out of Baldwin', as that was what the role required in the play.
This led to friction between the pair, as Baldwin claimed he was 'attacked' by the young actor in front of the rest of the company when the Transformers star told the veteran he was slowing him down. 'If you don't say your lines, I'm just going to keep saying my lines', he allegedly barked.
Eventually Baldwin requested a break and confessed to the show's director David Sullivan that either he or LaBeouf had to go.
LaBeouf was swiftly fired from the project and Ben Foster was brought in to replace him.
At the end of the day, there's going method and then there's just being a d*ck.
