10 Actors Who Should Play Spider-Man In Avengers: Infinity War
7. Jeremy Irvine
Jeremy Irvine burst onto the scene in 2011 with his lead performance in Steven Spielberg's War Horse, a movie that also happened to mark the young actor's feature debut. Since then, Irvine has avoided playing the Hollywood game, preferring to star in smaller productions when he could surely have his pick of choice roles. If he ever finally decides to star in a big-budget blockbuster, he could turn out to be an inspired choice for the role of Spider-Man. Known for his intense preparation methods that saw him contract trench foot while shooting War Horse and starve himself for his turn as a prisoner of war in The Railway Man, Irvine has only appeared in a handful of movies during his brief career. While there is no doubt that the 24 year-old possesses the range and versatility to convince as Peter Parker, he has actively avoided large-scale studio movies, and after turning down the male lead in both The Hunger Games and Divergent it seems unlikely that the actor would be too keen on the idea of suiting up in skintight spandex and spending months working against greenscreen backdrops as one of popular culture's biggest icons.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
