6. Michael Angarano
Another young actor with 20 years' worth of experience in the industry, Michael Angarano has yet to land a genuine breakthrough role despite working solidly in both film and television over the last two decades. One of the names under consideration for the part of Spider-Man before Andrew Garfield was cast, there is no doubt that Angarano would grab a second chance at the character with both hands if the offer came his way. While he isn't a household name, the 27 year-old has appeared in countless television shows and is currently delivering some of the best work of his career in critically-acclaimed series The Knick, while on the big screen Angarano has amassed an eclectic and diverse filmography that has seen him appear in almost every imaginable genre. A native New Yorker like Peter Parker himself, the actor is talented enough to convincingly portray the character's insecurities and social awkwardness, as well as possessing a natural likeability and ability to deliver a one-liner that would fit well with everybody's favorite web-head.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
