10 Actors Who Should Play Spider-Man In Avengers: Infinity War
3. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Marvel Studios have been looking to work with Joseph Gordon-Levitt for quite some time; after being heavily linked with the part of Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy, his name was also frequently mentioned in conjunction with the title role in Doctor Strange. It seems a case of when, rather than if, Gordon-Levitt signs on to one of the studio's comic book blockbusters and if Spider-Man does eventually end up as part of the MCU, its almost a given that he will be one of the front-runners for the part. At 33, some people might deem him to old for the role but Gordon-Levitt could easily pass for much younger, not to mention that he's only two years older than Andrew Garfield and one year older than Tobey Maguire was when Spider-Man 3 was released. The actor has forged a solid filmography that combines critically-acclaimed independent features with big-budget studio movies, and if he was cast fans of Spider-Man would be virtually guaranteed a memorable take on the character. However, limited availability could be a factor against him signing on for multiple movies; as well as acting commitments he has recently moved into producing, writing and directing, as well as hosting the Emmy Award-winning HitRecord. Still, the fact remains that the prospect of Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring as Spider-Man under the Marvel Studios banner is a tantalizing one.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
