10 Actors Who Should Replace Ben Affleck As Batman

Though he's got the small matter of Marvel's Infinity War on his plate currently, Josh Brolin was at one point extremely close to playing Batman for Warner Bros. In the end, and without a great deal of malice, he was pipped at the post by Ben Affleck amidst rumours that he and Zack Snyder disagreed on how the character should be built.

But reading back through some of Brolin's comments, it's hard not to yearn for him to be considered again if Affleck leaves the role. He didn't want to play Batman "cool", he wanted to follow his usual trend of playing him a "little off", which immediately inspires thoughts of Michael Keaton's quirkier, creepier Batman.

And if you can't get excited about the idea of someone as intense and talented as Brolin playing a more odd-ball Batman, rather than just flexing his muscles and growling at bad guys, there's something very wrong with you.
