10 Actors Who Spent FOREVER Preparing For Tiny Movie Roles
3. Gal Gadot - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice featured a supporting appearance by Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, with her screen time totalling around 15 minutes - just 10% of the movie's runtime, though she undeniably makes a memorable impact.
And to Gadot's credit, she certainly put in the time during pre-production to transform her slender frame into muscular shape, in turn proving wrong the many skeptics who groaned the moment such a petite actress was cast in the role.
Gadot's personal trainer for the film, Mark Twight, revealed that the actress spent nine months prior to shooting intensively training and changing her diet to create a believably warrior-like physique.
That's a lot of investment for a relatively brief supporting role in the film - especially given that she doesn't appear as Wonder Woman until the final battle - but of course, Gadot was ultimately thinking about far more than just this one movie.
Considering that Gadot was already signed to appear in a Wonder Woman solo film, which began filming the year after Batman v Superman wrapped, it absolutely made sense to build a firm physical base which she could more easily return to before shooting Wonder Woman.
